A fire alarm is only as good as its programming

Detectors, call points and sounders are only half the system. The programming decides what happens when a device operates — which sounders ring, which lifts recall, which smoke fans start, which doors release and what the panel tells the fire brigade.

Wrong labels, a missing output or an outdated cause-and-effect after a fit-out can fail a Civil Defence inspection, or worse, a real fire. Our engineers program, modify and troubleshoot panels from all major manufacturers on site, so you do not have to wait for the original installer or the manufacturer.

From backup to handover

1. Survey & backupWe record the panel model, firmware and current configuration, and back it up before any change.
2. ReviewWe check the drawings, device list and cause-and-effect matrix against the fire strategy.
3. ProgramConfiguration is prepared, downloaded to the panel and device text set to match the building.
4. TestEvery input is operated and every output checked against the matrix, with faults cleared.
5. HandoverYou receive the updated configuration backup and a programming report, ready for inspection.
